Manchester United turn attention to Bayern Munich midfielder

Manchester United are weighing up a move for out of favour Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso, reports The Daily Express.

The Frenchman has endured a succession of injury issues following his arrival from Lyon in 2017, making just 25 league starts on the back of then club-record switch to Germany.

Of those 25 league starts, just seven have come this season, while the French midfielder has started just one Bundesliga game in 2020.

Tolisso wasn't included in Bayern's matchday squad for their 2-0 win at Union Berlin on Sunday due to injury as he continues to struggle for game time in Germany.

And as such, Tolisso has grown disillusioned with life with the Bavarian outfit with a summer exit now on the cards.

Bayern won't stand in the 25-year-old's way if he does elect to cut his time in Germany short with the German champions looking to raise funds as they prepare to make a move for Manchester City's Leroy Sane.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is aiming to add to his midfield in the off season and had tried to sign Tolisso in January, but their loan approach was rebuffed.
