Premier League trio eye January move for MLS star

Everton, Leicester and Brighton are on a collision course to fight for New York City FC midfielder Jack Harrison in the January transfer window, reports The Daily Mail.

Harrison made the bold decision to leave Manchester United’s academy as a 14-year-old and move to America to continue his development, where he has remained ever since.

The 20-year-old reportedly has two years left to run on his existing NYCFC deal and Premier League clubs are eyeing a deal as little as £6m for the newly capped England U21 international.

Everton, Leicester and Brighton are all keen to bolster their squads in January following their indifferent starts to the season and will all turn their attentions to Harrison, whose campaign finished at the weekend when Patrick Vieira’s side were knocked out the MLS play-offs.

Harrison scored 10 goals and registered three assists for NYCFC in MLS this season, but his form tailed off towards the end of the campaign. In fact, he only found the back of the net on two occasions in his final 18 appearances and was even sent off in a 2-1 defeat to New England last month.
